A Different Kind of Expo

Congratulations! You welcomed your new baby home within the past 36 months—or you’re busy preparing for their arrival as we speak!

You spent months creating a registry filled with everything you could possibly imagine you might need: the car seat, the stroller, the crib, the changing pad, the bottle warmer, the playmat, diapers and wipes galore.

In other words, alllllllll the stuff.

But do you have the support and services you need to thrive as a mom?

That’s where the Westchester Mama & Child Wellness Expo comes in.

Our Mission

As moms, we often try to do it all. And sometimes, doing it all can feel like it comes at the expense of your own mental, physical, or emotional wellbeing—especially when we believe that we have to do it all ourselves.

For the mama who has invested her time and energy into her child(ren) and has neglected her own needs in the process (aka, every mom), we see you.

This expo is for you.

The Westchester Mama & Child Wellness Expo aims to create bonds of support for the mental and physical health of all family systems. This one-day, large-scale event will provide hands-on resources and connection-building opportunities between parents, perinatal professionals, and pediatric service providers in the health and wellness space.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to shop and discover locally owned small businesses for a range of mama-centered and child-friendly products.

Learn about the services and resources that exist—to support both you and your baby—as you navigate the postpartum period and rediscover yourself.

Why This Matters

Parents play a critical role in their children’s brain growth and development, and it’s no secret that caregiving is an extremely demanding job. Parents with networks of support are better equipped to help their children thrive, and better able to show up—emotionally and physically—as the parent they wish to be.

About This Event

With secured corporate partnerships from Open Door Family Medical Center and The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, we are looking forward to an impactful event filled with connection, information, and giveaways!

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with experts whose specialties span a variety of topics, including: maternal mental health; lactation support; pediatric sleep support; physical therapy; craniosacral support; occupational therapy; speech and feeding; prenatal/postnatal yoga; pelvic floor therapy; breathwork; infant massage; postpartum care; and more.

Guests will meet with experts in our Vendor Village to engage in 1:1 conversations with clinicians, perinatal professionals, and pediatric service providers, and participate in informal question & answer sessions. The Zen Den will feature exhibitors and holistic providers with a focus on self-care and wellness. Guests can shop local goods, as well as engage in small group conversations. Guests will also have the opportunity to learn from, and participate in, demos or add-on services.

Additionally, for increased audience interaction as well as targeted 1:1 and small group engagement, Fireside Chats will take place at scheduled times on topics such as Reproductive Health, Advocating for Yourself in the Birthing Room, Nutrition Needs for Moms, Tongue Ties: Your Questions Answered, and Sexual Health and Intimacy through Parenthood and Beyond.

Throughout the day, our Speaker Series will feature a rotation of expert-led breakout sessions on key topics such as perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), infant massage and craniosacral support, sensory processing/emotional regulation, and overcoming infertility, loss, and illness.

The day will close with an Expert Panel, to which guests can submit questions on the theme Redefining Motherhood: The Importance of Building Community, Finding Support, and Prioritizing Self-Care.
