As a mom of two, I still remember the most commonly asked question I heard when my kids were younger—

“Is s/he a good sleeper?”

I cannot tell you how much I hated that question!

Because the truth is, when my son was a newborn, we both really struggled—there was difficulty latching, reflux, and at 3 months, his sleep was still terrible and completely unpredictable. Sometimes he’d wake every 45 minutes overnight, or, if we were lucky, we’d get a 3-hour stretch. Naps were just as bad, and he would only sleep on me. He was cranky and exhausted, I was cranky and exhausted, and things were not going well. I developed PPD and anxiety, and I felt awful that I couldn’t help my baby get the sleep he desperately needed. Worse, I didn’t understand what I was doing wrong. So I read as much as I could, applied what I learned, worked with a sleep consultant, and finally, I got my son’s sleep on track. His transformation from a fussy, unsettled baby to a happier, well-rested one was incredible. I was much happier and well-rested too, and our whole family felt the positive effects. Win-win!

Before long, my friends, and friends of friends, started coming to me for advice on how to get their own children sleeping better, and I was thrilled to be able to help.

I’d love to do the same for you.
